AAWA was created at the request of WA growers to provide fertilizer price transparency and to enhance decision making for farmers’ highest cost input.
Following a successful trial in the 2013 season, the service has grown quickly and AAWA now has over 250 farmer clients who use in excess of 350,000 tonnes of fertilizer annually.

Peter McEwen - Director
Peter is the founder of Agri-Access WA with over 40 years experience in the Western Australian fertilizer market.
He is a graduate from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Science Degree with First Class Honours in Chemistry, and later completed a Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Chemical).
Peter commenced his fertilizer career with CSBP in 1980. He held management positions in production, personnel, and sales distribution, prior to joining Summit Fertilizers (Summit) late 1992. Peter was Managing Director/CEO of Summit for 18 years, prior to founding the Agri-Access businesses.
Peter has clients in the Victoria Plains, Mid West and Great Southern regions.

Josh Shales - Director
Josh has been working in the Australian Agricultural industry for over 15 years, having started in Agribusiness Banking and then moving in to fertilizer in 2013 with CSBP. Holding positions from Area Manager through to Corporate and broker sales in his eight and a half years with the company.
Since joining Agri Access Australia Group in 2021 Josh has expanded his knowledge to the international markets as well as being part of the growth of the Agri Access (WA) business to what it is today.
Josh has a strong knowledge base of the Australian broadacre fertilizer market and has built a large network across the fertilizer industry and amongst farmers.

Ken Ashworth
Ken managed and owned his own mixed farming enterprise for over 30 years in the Narrogin/Cuballing district of WA.
In 2005, he joined Whitford Fertilisers (Whitfert) as a Senior Fertilizer Sales Advisor. During Ken's 16 years with Whitfert, he developed strong relationships with growers. This was based on a strong service ethic.
Ken joined Agri-Access WA in 2021, with a focus on the Great Southern and Lake Shires.

Dale Thompson
Dale has been working for 30 years in Western Australian agriculture, including 18 Years at Summit Fertilizers. He was initially employed as Operations Coordinator at Summit's Kwinana facility, overseeing the receival and despatch of around 300,000mt per year of fertilizer
Dale was then transferred to Summit's Bunbury depot as business manager, where he worked for 12 years. During this period he grew sales in the area by 300%. Dale has also held the position of Summit's Southern Regional Sales Manager.
Dale has been a Fertilizer Broker for Agri-Access WA since 2016 with a focus on the Darkan, Williams and Narrogin Shires.

Darren Kidson
Darren has over 35 years of experience working in the agricultural industry, spending most of his time in the crop protection and nutrition fields.

Ian Richardson
Ian had a career in Agri banking from 2008-2016 working in Narrogin, Carnamah and Esperance.
In 2016 he commenced his consulting business looking after clients throughout the state.
Growing up on a farm and now living in Esperance Ian’s whole career has been in agriculture. He has a focus on reducing growers costs and maximising profit.
He has been and continues to be 100% independent working only for the grower. Being a trusted source of independent advice allows for growers to make well-timed decisions for critical farm inputs.
